Fall break has officially arrived! For weeks, my friends and I have been so excited about planning our big adventure in Italy. Our itinerary included visiting Rome, Positano (along the Amalfi Coast), and Florence.

Aside from the two flights we took going to and from Italy, we took the train to get to the different Italian cities. I highly recommend utilizing the train for traveling in general, just because it is rather comfortable, provides a good opportunity to get work done, can be a cheaper option, and it is a great way to see beautiful sights just out your window. To keep it concise and organized, you can see highlights of each of the three pit stops below!
First stop: Rome
How many days spent: 3 days
Favorite food spot: Labottega Pastificio Con Cucina (the pumpkin gnocchi with goat cheese and walnuts was to die for)
Favorite destination: Altar of the Fatherland (free, the view at sunset is unbelievable)
Something that I didn’t expect: How reckless the drivers are, how incredible the ancient architecture is integrated with such a big populated city, how much I love espresso
Second stop: Amalfi Coast
How many days spent: 3 days
Favorite food spot: Torre Normanna (fun fact: Leonardo Dicaprio ate here!)
Favorite destination: Any local shopping strip of Positano
Something that I didn’t expect: how nauseous everyone got from the bus ride along the coast, the abundance of adorable stray cats
Third stop: Florence
How many days spent: 2 days
Favorite food spot: Tie between All’Antico Vinaio (best on-the-go paninis) and Trattoria Zà Zà (amazing pesto pasta)
Favorite destination: Ponte Vecchio (an amazing bridge and view, with gorgeous gold jewelry shops)
Something that I didn’t expect: How everything was conveniently within walking distance
When I came back to Copenhagen, I was so surprised to see the city completely transformed into the Fall season. The leaves changed to reds and browns, and suddenly they were all falling to the ground. I haven’t seen a proper Fall for four years, so it was so pretty to see the city change so much while we were gone. This is making me excited for a finally snowy winter season!
